The Black Hills offers some spectacular hiking & biking trails for the outdoor enthusiast. Black Elk Peak, with several trailheads in the southern hills close to Sylvan Lake, is the highest peak in the Black Hills. There are several trails you can take to get to the summit, the most popular trail is approximately 7 miles round trip. If biking is more your cup of tea, the Mickelson Trail is a 109 mile trail that has 15 trailheads from Deadwood to Edgemont.
