Custer

Population: 1,956

Known as the oldest town in the Black Hills.  Originally, settlers moved to the area for gold in 1874.  A family friendly town close to trails, climbing, horseback riding, camping and lots of other family fun.  Located right inside Custer is the 1881 Courthouse Museum where you can explore Black Hills history from 1874 to present day.  

Several other attractions surround this quaint little town such as Crazy Horse, Jewel Cave and Custer State Park full of a variety of wildlife, beautiful scenery and adventure.  And for the beer enthusiast, this town is home to Mount Rushmore Brewing Company.
